4-Hit Day For Manning Leads Grayson College Past Navarro College


Brady Manning collected four hits in four at bats, as Grayson College defeated Navarro College 13-8 on Monday, Mar. 20. Manning singled in the second, singled in the fourth, walked in the fifth, singled in the sixth, and doubled in the eighth.

Grayson College collected 13 hits and Navarro College had five in the high-scoring affair

Navarro College took an early lead in the second inning.

Grayson College evened things up at two in the bottom of the second inning. Brady Manning drove in one when he singled in the second inning.

Grayson College took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Ryne Randle singled off of Dickens, driving in two runs.

Grayson College scored six runs in the fifth inning. Grayson College's big inning was driven by a home run by Anthony Bernardez, a walk by Randle, a walk by Andrew Miller, and a error.

Navarro College scored four runs in the eighth inning. Navarro College scored its runs on a grand slam by Dejesus.

Gabe Constantine earned the win for Grayson College. He threw four innings, surrendering two runs, one hit, and striking out two. Three relievers helped Grayson College close out the victory. Kendall Kennedy threw three innings. Dickens took the loss for Navarro College. He tossed three and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs, seven hits, and striking out three.

Home runs for Grayson College came when Jackson Glenn homered in the second inning and Bernardez homered in the fifth inning. Home runs for Navarro College came when Dejesus homered in the eighth inning and Salazar homered in the seventh inning.

Manning, Braydon Webb, Randle, and Bernardez each collected multiple hits for Grayson College. Grayson College was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Miller had the most chances in the field with 12.
